Kitchen Essentials started with a simple frustration: “Why are we paying so much for everyday kitchen products?”
When our founder, Owain, moved home, the cost of seemingly simple kitchen essentials quickly started adding up. Utensils, cookware, storage and other everyday items were often surprisingly expensive on the high street, despite many comparable products ultimately coming from the same manufacturers and supply chains.
It raised a simple question: “Could we cut out some of those additional mark-ups and source great kitchen products more directly?”
That idea became Kitchen Essentials, founded in 2022.
Better value, without the high-street mark-up
Our approach is straightforward. We source products directly from trusted suppliers and manufacturers, reducing the number of middlemen between the people making the products and the people using them.
That allows us to offer practical, good-quality kitchen and home essentials at prices that make more sense.
We're not interested in making an everyday utensil look luxurious simply so we can attach a luxury price tag to it. We look for products that offer the right balance of quality, usefulness, durability and value.
Because equipping your kitchen shouldn't cost a fortune.

Our range covers kitchenware, cookware, bakeware and home essentials, but there's a common idea behind everything we choose: “Would we genuinely want this in our own home?”
From the spatula you reach for every morning to the pan used for family dinners, baking equipment pulled out at the weekend or storage that finally brings some order to an overflowing cupboard, we focus on products designed for real homes and everyday life.
You don't need to be a professional chef. You don't need an enormous kitchen. And you certainly don't need to spend hundreds of pounds to enjoy good kitchenware.
You just need products that do their job well.
A more sensible way to shop for your kitchen items
Buying direct does mean our model works a little differently from the traditional high street.
Rather than building the cost of large retail premises, extensive warehousing and multiple layers of distribution into the price you pay, many of our products are sourced and dispatched through our supplier network, straight to your door.
With a limited stock held to pass the savings onto our customers, the trade-off in some instances is that some orders take a little longer to arrive.

Why does delivery take a little longer?
Our direct-sourcing model is one of the ways we're able to keep our prices competitive. Instead of every product passing through multiple distributors, wholesalers and traditional retail channels before reaching you, we work directly with trusted suppliers and manufacturers wherever possible.
That means some products have a slightly longer journey to your kitchen.
Next-day delivery isn’t free. Big retailers build the cost of their warehouses and fast fulfilment into the price of every product, even when delivery is shown as free. Because we ship direct from our supplier, our prices are typically lower, even once delivery is added, and orders over £50 ship free.
We know that's longer than next-day delivery, so we want to be completely upfront about it. In return, our aim is to offer you better value on products worth waiting a little longer for.
