Description
Green on linen is a more considered for the table— it reflects the green of the garden in the summer and warms the room in the winter. The Belgian flax gives it the weight it needs, the Lithuanian weavers give it the evenness that only a hand-worked loom produces, and the green does what green always does on a natural ground — it settles, deepens, and looks more itself the longer it stays on the table.
JJ uses this at the hearth table in autumn, where the stripe picks up whatever is growing in the garden and brings it indoors effortlessly. It creases. It softens. After a year of weekly use, it will be the cloth guests ask about first.
